It had been four hours, four long hours since Nikola had returned Helen's laptop, leaving it exactly the way he had found it. Well almost exactly the way he had found it. Nikola had sabotaged her computer locking her out of Bejewelled with a password and recording his voice so that every single time she opened the laptop or opened a program his voice would blare out at her (and of course he'd made the mute button inaccessible.) Helen was going to be furious but well he had to have some fun on this island after all and Nikola always enjoyed engaging with an incensed Helen. She did tend to make mistakes then and Nikola was proud to call himself one of Helen's little mistakes.

Sitting at the lab counter, Nikola hummed to himself as he fiddled with some delicate pieces of wiring and electrical relays and waited for Helen to come and disturb him. He was rather excited about it not that he'd let on as much.

"If you think I'm kissing you, you're sorely mistaken," Helen said, wrinkling her nose at the thought. "So you can just get that out of your head right now. Absolutely not."

Things usually ran in that direction when Nikola wanted something from her.

"Helen, you do jump to very delicious conclusions. Someone might think you want me to kiss you, they way you just leapt to that idea so quickly." Nikola replied in a low voice, smirking wickedly at Helen before he clasped his hands together. "I want you to submit to a few blood tests."

"Blood tests for what, Nikola? We're normal here, I assure you. It's not like you're going to be able to reverse-engineer the source blood from any donations I provide you."

Which, really, meant she ought to concede to it but Helen was stubborn, especially when it came to her own body.

"Helen, would I really try that?" Nikola asked looking not-so-innocently at Helen. He probably wouldn't but that was only because he'd already tried that with his own blood. "I want to see how your blood cells react to the treatment I've developed."

And he wanted it for other things but well, let her believe he was doing them all a favour creating an radiation treatment.

"Well, I suppose that wouldn't be so bad," Helen said, thinking it over. If it would provide a treatment for radiation sickness, there might be other applications on the island.

"You do promise not to hurt me terribly when you prick me, then?"

"Just a small prick you'll hardly feel a thing," Nikola replied, smirking happily at Helen agreeing to his demand. And all he had to do was take away her beloved bejewelled. "Leave it with me and I'll fix it for you. Now, when are you coming to drink with me. You're spending far too much time with Will, Helen. I'm starting to feel neglected."

"Will is my lover, Nikola," Helen said, tone exasperated as if she were talking with a small child. Truthfully, that was about how she did have to talk to Nikola sometimes.

"Hence, I spend my days and nights with him. I'll have a drink with you, though, after you suck my blood."

"That hardly means you have to spend your entire time latched to his lips like one of those alien creatures. Really, you weren't like that with Johnny Boy." Nikola replied. Not that he'd stuck around to witness any of the Victorian canoodlings that went on, dear god he'd rather rip his eyeballs out. "You'll have a bottle with me. I've managed to acquire more than one or two good bottles of wine."

"I should have known you'd have pilfered the quality," Helen said dryly. "And I'm hardly so indiscreet with Will unless you've made a new habit of peeking in my windows at night."

Really, it had just been a little hand-holding, nothing further. She was much more discreet than all that.

"Do I look like Edward Cullen?" Nikola said dryly before adding. "You may need to oil your windows, they squeak."

Nikola wasn't the jealous type. He had better things to do with his time but he still didn't understand Helen's fascination with lesser men when she could have well... him. "I did not steal it, I acquired them. Apparently there were a few... dozen bottles brought up from Rapture."

Helen wanted Will because being with Will was about the two of them together and not Nikola's large ego but she wasn't going to waste her breath explaining it. Instead, she gave him a tight smile.

"Stay out of my house unless I invite you in, please? Surely you can keep at least one vampire stereotype alive."

"But Helen where would the fun be in that?" Nikola said, before rolling his eyes. Folding his arms across his waistcoat he sighed. "I promise I won't break into your home."

Seeing as Helen's door didn't really have too much in the way of security he could promise her that. He wasn't breaking... more entering.

"Fine. And for that, you'll get a sample of my blood," Helen said, half-smiling. "You can't say I never gave you anything, Nikola. I just want that on the record right now that I did actually give you what you asked of me."
