A private housewarming

It wasn't quite up to Nikola's exacting standards. It hardly had the lab or the technology that Nikola was used to and it certainly didn't have the cellar with all Nikola's favourite wines but really Nikola was growing sick of the Compound and his lack of space to work there in his rooms. He had work to do in his new abode but for the moment the work would have to wait. The island of course was yet again interfering in his plans to renovate.

The hut wasn't large or grand but the house it had changed into at least had some of the gravity that Nikola had been lacking recently. Two floors, a porch and a large roaring fire as well as bedrooms had at least comforted Nikola when he had returned to the property with his belongings. Setting up room for him to work in the living area, Nikola made his bedroom and living area t least habitable before building the fire waiting Alcuin's arrival.

Leaving the door open, Nikola removed his jacket and tie settling beside the fire as he began to work through his research and results for the day.

Wrapping his arm around Alcuin, Nikola stretched his hand down Alcuin's thigh before drawing his, to use Helen's word, paramour more firmly to him. He did not feel like being remotely cold tonight.

"Hmm? Oh, yes I intend to install a lab here. Just something small for some of our more private experimentations and research. For us to work in," Nikola murmured, pressing his lips against Alcuin's throat. Nikola glanced up at Alcuin before adding. "And perhaps live in."

"You wish to live in your lab?" Alcuin teased. "I suppose that should not surprise me at all, my love."

"If I had my way I would not have to stop to eat or bathe but sadly my mortality limits what I can and cannot do." Nikola replied in answer to Alcuin's tease. Nikola drew one hand down the ponytail that Alcuin had tied his hair into, threading his fingers through the end. "I meant that you could live here as well if you wanted to."

Alcuin looked a touch surprised. "You want me to live with you? All the time? To... share your bed?"

He wasn't certain why it should seem so strange, but it had been some time since Alcuin had been in such an arrangement.

Nikola smirked at the surprised look on Alcuin's face, pressing his lips against his neck. Nikola kissed his neck again before nodding.

"Of course, eventually, if that's what you want." Nikola replied, sliding his hand down Alcuin's leg before drawing him closer. Taking a mouthful of the alcohol, Nikola paused for a moment before continuing. "You're surprised? I love you, I like being with you... why wouldn't I want you to live with me?"

"I don't know, maybe, hmmmm..." Alcuin took a drink from his own glass, and his eyes went a little wide when it burned sharply on the way down. He coughed.

"You don't like to share," he pointed out.

Nikola certainly didn't cough, he was used to very strong alcohol but he did take a momentary pause whilst drinking. Nikola acknowledged his shortcomings with a slight nod.

"No, I don't but I thought perhaps we'd take it slow." Nikola answered honestly. "I know my failings but I want to try for you, with you."

"You want to share your bed with me," said Alcuin softly. "Your home. Your life." He leaned in and kissed him softly.

"Of course I do. Despite what I think about the subject of love, I do love you." Nikola replied, a little surprised by Alcuin's tone. Brushing a stray hair behind Alcuin's ear, Nikola kissed Alcuin back a little harder. Wrapping his arm around Alcuin, Nikola tilted his head pressing tiny kisses down his neck. "I want to share my home with you, if you hadn't noticed I already share my life with you. Well, perhaps not one aspect of it."

Nikola smirked teasingly at Alcuin, wondering if he would take the bait.

"Oh?" Alcuin pulled back just enough to look at him. "And what aspect is that?" It was clear from his tone that he knew he was being baited.

"That I love... pigeons," Nikola replied, drawing Alcuin back to him and nuzzling Alcuin's neck as he smiled honestly. Nikola really did love pigeons, he missed his majestic queen and her flock but he hadn't been able to obtain any beautiful pigeons like her yet.

Alcuin let out a peel of surprised laughter. "Pigeons? You know, I have seen one or two here, though they cannot possibly be indigenous."

"Don't tease me like that," Nikola murmured seriously. Nikola stopped kissing and nuzzling Alcuin's neck to pull back and look at him properly. "You've seen pigeons here?"

"Well yes," said Alcuin. "Very infrequently over the past few years. Haven't you been on the roof of the Compound? There's an abandoned pigeon coop there. I asked Jack about it once, he said that someone he knew... there were some pigeons that showed up that had belonged to him from home. Though I don't think he's here anymore. But if they managed to mate there would indeed still be a few, even if they're wild now."

"Wild pigeons," Nikola replied, looking genuinely interested in the idea. Nikola missed his pigeons, his majestic white queen who had abandoned him. Even now he felt their loss. Nikola didn't tend to get on with people but pigeons? Pigeons he did. "Perhaps I could catch a few... you are distracting me from what I was doing."

Alcuin laughed lightly. "What were you doing?" He took another sip of the whiskey. It burned again, but he was feeling pleasantly buzzed.

"I believe I was here," Nikola murmured bending his head to kiss Alcuin's neck, his teeth nipping at the skin as slid his hand around his middle. His hands pressing beneath Alcuin's shirt to touch bare skin. "And I didn't get your answer."

"Oh, as to... whether I would like to move in with you?"

Alcuin tipped his head back a little, giving Nikola better access to his neck. "I will say that the idea certainly has its merits, but I would like to speak with Phedre first before I give you an answer. I have been in my home for a long time, after all. Is that agreeable?"

"That's-" Nikola bit Alcuin's neck as he tilted it, sucking on his soft flesh Nikola placed heated little kisses up his neck. "-more than acceptable. It won't be truly ready for a while once the island reverts back to its usual state. It'll need to be renovated, improved upon before it'll be ready for you to move in."

Nikola slid his hand up Alcuin's stomach, distractedly.

Alcuin sighed contently at the moment of those kisses, and squirmed a little on Nikola's lap. "Would you like to stay with me while your home is being renovated?"

Nikola inhaled letting out a soft little gasp as Alcuin squirmed ever so slightly on his lip. Shifting, Nikola moved to undo each and every one of Alcuin's body as he kissed up his neck. Nikola considered the answer as he drew open the shirt, sliding his hand up Alcuin's bare stomach Nikola nodded before answering in a low murmur.

"Yes, I'd like that." Nikola replied. "Will the others mind?"

At Nikola's hands on his skin, Alcuin sighed softly. "You know..." he murmured after a moment. "An advantage of this, our own place?" Ours, not yours, even now. "We can be as loud as we like."

Nikola could feel his own body reacting, stirring at Alcuin's close proximity. Running his teeth over Alcuin's earlobe, Nikola drew it into his mouth before pulling gently with his teeth. Murmuring a soft 'mmm?' at Alcuin's words, Nikola smirked at Alcuin's statement.

"We certainly could be as loud as we want and we wouldn't have to worry about being interrupted." Nikola said letting his fingertips caress over Alcuin's ribs. Sliding his thumbs over Alcuin's nipples, Nikola pinched and pulled returning his lips to Alcuin's neck. "Or having to remain in our bedroom."

"Mmmmm in that case, two questions come to mind."

Alcuin tilted his head back and knocked back the rest of his drink - which was really too much, and it burned on the way down but he managed not to cough - so that he could set down the glass and settle more securely in Nikola's lap, straddling his hips.

"One, what can I do to make you... loud..." He licked a line behind Nikola's ear. "And two..." Quiet as a breath. "Where do you want to fuck me first?"

Nikola slid his hand over Alcuin's thighs as Alcuin straddled his waist. Wrapping his arms around Alcuin, he pressed his fingertips over Alcuin's ass and dragged him close smirking as Alcuin whispered quietly into his ear.

"Here, now." Nikola murmured, inhaling at Alcuin's tongue on his skin. Turning his head, Nikola slid his hands up Alcuin's back removing the hair tie carefully before letting it fall loose. Brushing his thumb across his cheek, across Alcuin's lips he smirked before capturing his lips with his own. "I think you have an idea as to what you do to make me loud Alcuin, love."
